The work week in Egypt is Sunday thru Thursday and the weekend is Friday and Saturday. I had the hardest time getting used to this. If my husband would say he was going to the bank on Sunday, I would always point out that it would be closed on Sunday. I was wrong. When I was working it was fun waking up on Wednesday and realizing that "hump day" was actually the day before on Tuesday. The whole thing reminds me of an advertising campaign by TGI Friday's restaurant that I used to hear on the radio back in Indiana. It was something like "Thursday is the new Friday."
Well in Egypt it is.
