I´m heading there tomorrow! regards, ElsaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2420445100365449850.post-26871440756512050052010-02-09T08:29:51.396+02:002010-02-09T08:29:51.396+02:00Feb 2010: The slaughtering of street dogs is sadly STILL occurring in CAIRO.<br />Our beautiful little dog, Zulu, has gone missing after Government Officials poisoned a group of street dogs, and we fear he has died alongside them.<br />We are overseas so are unable to get all of the details -but it happened recently at El Mohafaz Park, Abdullah St, Heliopolis, just off Ouraba Rd (Salah Salam) near the Meridian Hotel.<br />At least 4 dogs were poisoned but probably more.<br />Needless to say we are devastated. <br />We rescued our dog from the streets as a tiny puppy and he often hung out in that park with the street dogs that were killed. My husband would always just feed his dog what he ate... probably not the best diet, but it worked for him.<br />He did draw the line at cannibalism... a cousin had a chicken (I can&#39;t remember WHY) and apparently one day, they were eating chicken and the cousin gave some to his chicken to eat!
